Class Descriptions


Essentials

Great for beginners & those who want to nourish a strong foundation in their practice. Emphasis on building strength, flexibility, stamina, and mindful attention to physical alignment in the poses.  


Gentle

Slower-paced Essentials class. Active poses to build strength, stamina and flexibility, resting poses and/or therapeutic ball massage to release muscles & relax deeply.  Great for beginners or those recovering from injuries.


All Levels

Tailored to meet the needs of the students who attend, with modifications & variations given to support each student’s practice.  All levels are welcome!


Deepening

Stronger class that refines basic asanas and introduces more challenging poses.  Deeper integration of healthy alignment actions in all categories of poses.


Afternoon Pick-Me-Up

Poses to energize & relax, a short period of seated meditation, and a rejuvenating resting pose.  You'll leave feeling brighter in your body & mind, ready to meet the rest of your evening.  All levels welcome.


Evening Pick-Me-Up 

All Levels class designed for the evening to both energize & relax.  Refreshing active poses to get your energy & body moving, then massaging ball work and/or calming breathing practices, meditation, and restorative poses to encourage deeper relaxation and better sleep.   


Aligned Flow

Flowing postures with a focus on being present with breath and movement, concluded with guided meditation and relaxation.  Please have at least 6 months of yoga experience before attending this class. 


Adventurous All Levels

Playful, stronger all levels class.  Tailored to meet the needs of the students who attend, with modifications & variations given to support each student’s practice.  All levels are welcome!


Rise & Shine

Welcome yourself to your day with a sunrise all levels practice. Begin with your breath & then move

into sun salutations, hip-openers & backbends to create energy and clarity in your body and mind.


Playful Practice  

Explore the idea of play in practice through active poses to foster joy in movement, along with quiet time to soak it all in. All levels welcome & encouraged, with variations provided to foster & support your own playful practice.


Meditation  NEW!

A few gentle stretches to help you feel centered in your body, followed by a 20-30 minute guided meditation (sitting, lying down, standing, or walking).  Meditations will vary and help build concentration, cultivate mindfulness of the body, mind, and emotions, and foster loving-kindess.  Each class will end with a brief Q & A period to support your practice.  No meditation experience necessary!  Drop-in rate is $12 OR use your class card/unlimited pass.

The studio will be closed during this time for our annual summer holiday week.


Any class cards active during this time will be extended out to make up for our closure week.

Rest assured that you won’t lose any time on your card!
